HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology builds complex and highly detailed thermoplastic parts up to 10 times faster than SLS (Selective Laser Sintering). Parts built with MJF Nylon 12 offer excellent mechanical properties for a wide variety of uses from consumer electronics and medical to manufacturing aids. HP parts are more isotropic and boast a significantly higher Z-direction strength than competing technologies. MJF is ideal for fast production of prototypes as well as high volumes of parts with outstanding economy.
The MJF process deposits fusing and detailing agents over a powdered Nylon 12 build area. High intensity infrared lamps fuse an entire layer in a single pass. Build layers are typically 0.004″. Each build layer is printed in under 9 seconds.
